Jobs

While most of the UI interactions of G-nom are performed immediately, compute-intensive tasks such as the BLAST queries or data imports are delegated to jobs running in a queue. Jobs are split across a default and long queue depending on the job type and expected runtime. BUSCO imports, for example, consist of a simple parser reading the BUSCO summary file and run on the default queue. Assembly imports, on the other hand, require compression, indexing and computation of key metrics and therefore run on the long queue with an extended timeout. You may inspect your jobs by navigating to https://<your-g-nom-instance>/jobs.
